DJI Neo
Very compact vlog and travel drone for quick and uncomplicated aerial footage. I mainly use it for tracking, walking videos and situations where I want to carry as little equipment as possible.
The DJI Neo is an exceptionally small and lightweight camera drone focused on simple operation and automated flight functions. At only around 135 grams, it is very easy to carry in a backpack and, depending on the situation, can be operated with a remote controller, smartphone or without a traditional remote.
For me, it mainly complements the DJI Mini 4 Pro. While the Mini 4 Pro is my more capable travel drone, the Neo is particularly useful for spontaneous recordings, vlogs, tracking sequences and situations where I want to keep the amount of equipment to a minimum.

My experience
I have been using the DJI Neo since 2024. For me, it is particularly useful when I want to capture aerial footage quickly and easily or when I have very little space in my luggage.
I especially like using it for tracking shots and vlog-style recordings, for example when I am walking and explaining something while the drone follows me. The preset flight modes such as Rocket are also fun and make it easy to create interesting perspectives without much preparation.
One of the biggest advantages for me is the flexibility of control. I can fly the Neo with a controller, smartphone or, in some situations, without a separate remote at all. Its compact size, easy storage in a backpack and gesture control are also very practical.
What I like less is the lack of full omnidirectional obstacle sensing and the fact that its small size makes it more sensitive to wind.
Today, I use it occasionally when I want quick, lightweight and uncomplicated aerial footage.
