Summer has Fosa Beach in Calpe firmly in its grip. Colorful parasols, pleasant swimming temperatures, and the sparkling Mediterranean create a true holiday atmosphere on the Costa Blanca. From the beach, the view stretches along the impressive promenade to the hotels and apartments of Playa de la Fossa. A perfect place to enjoy the Spanish sunshine, swim in the sea, or simply watch the colorful bustle on the beach.
A slightly different perspective on Calpe: From Coral Beach, the view stretches across the calm Mediterranean toward the striking Peñón de Ifach. In the background, the high-rise buildings of Playa de la Fossa can be seen extending along the coast. On this sunny day, the Costa Blanca shows its tranquil side, with clear water, blue skies, and an impressive view of Calpe’s iconic landmark.
A dream comes true! In 2026, I will fulfill a long-held dream and travel to the famous Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa. On my website, I will document the entire journey – from the initial planning and preparations to my daily experiences there.

During my walk along the Arenal-Bol beachfront promenade in Calpe, I noticed these three official awards. The well-known Blue Flag stands for excellent water quality, safety, cleanliness, and environmental standards. It is complemented by the Spanish “Q de Calidad Turística” quality mark, which represents high service standards and well-maintained tourism infrastructure.
The third award recognizes the beach as a health- and environmentally conscious area that helps ensure a clean and pleasant experience for visitors.
This makes Arenal-Bol one of the highest-rated beaches on the Costa Blanca, offering not only fine sand and clear water but also the highest quality standards for locals and holidaymakers alike. Another reason why I consider Calpe one of the most beautiful places on the Mediterranean.
