👋 Who I am

It is not travelling alone that fascinates me, but everything that happens before, during and after a journey.

I often plan trips well in advance, search for photo locations, test equipment, develop my own tools and document my experiences through images, videos and travel stories.

This website is therefore more than a gallery. It follows every journey from the first idea to the finished travel report.

🌍 My travel story

Between 1999 and 2023, travelling was mainly about discovering new places. I travelled with partners, friends or other companions, while photography mostly served to preserve memories.

Since 2024, I have mainly travelled alone. This gives me more time for photography, light, planning and special moments.

South Africa 2026 marks the beginning of a new chapter: for the first time, I will document an entire journey with preparation, photos, videos, blog posts, making-of content and later also Fine-Art.

📷 Why I photograph

For me, photography means more than creating a beautiful image. It helps me experience places more consciously and make stories visible.

I am interested not only in famous sights, but also in light, small details, encounters and moments that are easily overlooked.

Technology is not an end in itself. Cameras, lenses, drones and video equipment are tools that turn memories into images, reports and films.

This website continues to grow with every new journey. New travel reports, photographs, videos and selected images that will later be available as Fine-Art are planned.

This website is my personal travel diary and at the same time a platform for photography, videos and travel reports.

You will find not only finished results here, but also the journey behind them – from planning and equipment to the experiences on location.

My aim is to inspire people to travel and photograph, share experiences and show that every image has a story behind it.
