Hong Kong – between mountains, clouds and an endless skyline This view over Hong Kong was captured from Victoria Peak in April 2019. Densely packed high-rise buildings stretch towards Victoria Harbour, while mountains rise behind the city beneath low-hanging clouds. It is precisely this contrast that fascinates me about Hong Kong: an incredibly dense metropolis nestled between water and mountains. The photograph does not show the city as a perfectly polished postcard scene, but as I experienced it during my journey. I photographed this scene myself and carefully prepared the image for high-quality printing. Colours, contrast and details have been optimised while preserving the natural character of the original photograph.
